Tips to Get Your Home Ready To Sell:

Did you know the First impression is everything? Yes, buyers will take one look a your home and decide right then and there whether to go in or move on.

So let's make sure your home is ready to give the Best First impression possible:

l Edge, mow and fertilize the lawn. Reseed sparse areas. Trim hedges, weed lawns and flowerbeds, and prune trees. Cut back overgrown shrubbery.

l  Power-wash the exterior. Clean and align gutters and downspouts; clean the chimney.

l Remove oil stains from driveway and garage. Keep walks and driveway swept or free of ice.

l Wash the windows inside and out. If possible, Hire a cleaning service to thoroughly clean the interior, otherwise clean as much as you can.

l Paint the walls and ceilings off white or beige. Too bright colors tend to scare away buyers.

l Repair cracks, holes and damage to plaster, wallboard, wallpaper, paint, and tiles.

l Repair drippy faucets and showerheads. Unclog slow drains.

l If possible, Shampoo carpets, scrub and wax linoleum or wood floors.

l Clean out the fireplace and lay some logs in it.

l Replace burned-out light bulbs. Use brighter light bulbs.

l Renail creaking boards or stairs; lubricate squeaking doors.

l Clean all appliances (especially refrigerator and oven).

l Replace old toilet seats and shower curtains.

l Wash all light switches, handrails and doorknobs.

l Clear all cobwebs from corners and doorways.
